The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of MI is hosting its 2nd annual car raffle. This year one lucky winner can drive away in a brand new 2008 Chevrolet Impala. Tickets are only $5.00 ( per ticket) or 20 tickets per book. The drawing will be held on June 14th, 2008 at the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge located at 3500 McDougall Detroit, MI. 48207.  The actual drawing will be conducted at 11:00 p.m. however feel free arrive early for music, food, and socializing .

Effort Launched for Memorial to Prince Hall on Cambridge Common Cambridge Figure to be First African American Honored on Historic Ground. CAMBRIDGE – An effort has begun to place a memorial to Prince Hall, the 18th Century Patriot and Civil Rights Advocate, on the historic Cambridge Common.  A committee formed by Mayor E. Denise Simmons has gained preliminary approval from the Cambridge Historic Commission to design and place the memorial on the Common’s rotunda – near the George Washington Memorial.

Have you ever wondered why our ancient brethren endowed their presiding officer with the title and designation of Worshipful Master?
Research of Masonic literature fails to shed light upon this subject, however, using one's basic knowledge of the teachings and the Masonic endeavor to assemble an organization of good men and make them better men, we can assume it was their intent to have leading their lodges, the best men available.  I am sure that we can all agree that the success of any endeavor depends primarily upon the leader and his ability to guide the project to its ultimate conclusion.
